Anne Marie Skye was born in Wisconsin and has lived in several regions of the United States. For many years, she has divided her time between her native country and France, with frequent visits to other European countries and North Africa. Her paintings are presented regularly in one-woman shows on three continents as well as in groups. They are in numerous private collections. She works in both watercolor and oils, and her subjects range from landscapes and cityscapes to floral "portraits" and what she refers to as "natural abstracts", views of nature enlarged to the point of abstraction.
